I found 3 scorpions, but this is the only one that waited around while I got the camera set up.
I think it was chasing bugs when it moved around, because it moved really fast.
Instead of enhancing details, Photomatix decreased them in this case. Well, it is a really strange picture. Maybe if I played around with some parameters, in my spare time.

Nope. You should check out the album map. It shows exactly where I take all of these pictures.
Those are pretty cool even if they are blurry. Is the "cap" you are referring to just a filter? Do you bring along a UV light.
I've had similar problems trying to use photomatix with infrared shots, which come out completely magenta from my camera, and then must be converted into black and white.
It's a baseball cap with ultraviolet LEDs that clip on the bill. It's very convenient because it leaves my hands free.
I hadn't thought about converting to B&W. I'll have to give that a try and see how it looks.
